With the sale of Sports Illustrated (SI), does that mean an end to WTA players appearing nude or partially nude in the magazine?

SI was sold to a marketing group, which controls the images of former stars like Elvis Presley and Marilyn Monroe, for $100 million.
SIs best selling edition was their swimsuit issue, so the WTA players must have made a lot of money for posing.
I looked on google, but couldn't find any reference on the money paid for showing skin.
Women athletes only appear on about 5% of the SI covers.

I don't believe that there has ever been a 400 lb NFL lineman posing in a Speedo on an SI swimsuit cover.

Because of internet sites giving fans instant news, old guard sports magazines like SI are rapidly dying. SI was huge before the web.

Although I dearly love photos of naked ladies, I thought women athletes appearing in the SI swimsuit edition was demeaning to their sport and to themselves.(Blue Trees might have a different opinion.)

No that will continue. The Swimsuit issue is one of the only things that still works for them
