i think it is quite interesting. we could have zvonareva and kuznetsova play each other in the quarters. both have been in great form this year. but to add in with that mix in their quarter we also have mary pierce who is a very dangerous player and we have hantuchova and dokic both who are capable of playing very high quality tennis.
there is also a possibility of a 3rd round match between clijsters and lina k. if lina k is playing well then that will be a very high quality match (she may not quite be able to topple kim but she could make it a tight match) that's IF she plays well on that particular day.
we also have myskina, safina, molik and dementieva in one section. myskina is tough, safina has bee in great form, molik was in great form ealier this year and dementieva is capable of producing high quality tennis. so another tough section with the added factor that all of these players are inconsistent.
we also have a possible round 2 match between sharapova and mauresmo and i'm hoping safina and sharapova can reach the quarters and play each other.
furthur down we have th inconsistent bovina who has quite an easy draw up to the the 3rd round where she could play coetzer (who runs a lot down so is dangeruos to bovina). we could also get a 3rd round match between petrova and henin which could go either way even though their last encounter was very one-sided petrova has taken henin to 3 sets this year and the winner of that match could take on bovina who is a dangerous player.
a quite interesting draw. there could be a lot of upsets but there could not. such an unpredicatable draw that once again may turn out to be what is a straight forward draw for the favourites but hopefully this time the others that have what it takes to get pasted them will actually play well and do it this time.
