Are juniors counted in?
Seeing Martina has 29 consecutive Slams, which is 7 years and 1 slam ;) so that's the start of '94. Did she play seniors then?

Updated through the 2003 US Open. Some people are way up the lists. If they play every slam next year, Frazier moves into a tie for #2, and Conchita moves up to #5 with 60 slams played. Rittner would move into the top 15, and Maleeva would make an even 20 players with 50+ slams played.

Seles has missed so many slams... she's only played in 40.. and has won 8, so she's won 20% of the slams she's played. COME ON MONICA, come back strong!

Updated through the recently-completed Aussie Open. (I basically used that draw and this thread, so some additions may need to be made.)

Frazier has joined the exclusive 60 club. She holds the record for an American-born player, and for a non-European-born player. Coetzer has the mark for someone who wasn't born in either Europe or the USA, and extended her consecutive slams record. McQuillan is still 2 short of the Aussie record.

seeing Amy playing 2 more US Open actually is not too unlikely, she does try to save her energies up by not traveling abroad, i do hope to see her surpass Martina N who probably would have played much more if Aussie Open was as good back then. Anyways, good luck Amy.

Geez, Amy's gonna bust the record.

DelMonte
yeah..and martina should't really count for all time slams since she has not played a singles match in a grand slam in nearly 10 years...Martina RARELY played the Aussie and french open in the late 80s to mid 90s :wavey: Amy is da girl ;-)

No, Martina joined the pro tour in the fall of 1994, as soon as she was elgible. Since then, she hasn't missed a slam. Starting with the 1995 Australian Open, that's 7 straight years of playing every slam (1995-2001) plus this year's Oz for 29.

Great list Brian. I had King at 51 and Durr at 50, Court at 47 and Richey at 38, so will check. There's also Lesley Turner to add, who played 41.
