Probably the next big Czech prodigy, after Marketa. :) She's still only 11 (born May 1, 2005) and winning matches at good U14 level! :worship:

She played Les Petits As (the U14 Slam) a month ago and actually upset 8th seed Alina Scherbinina, 6-3 3-6 6-2 in R1, before losing a close R2 match to Fatima Keita (who later reached the QFs), 6-4 6-7(4) 1-6. :awww:  These girls are 2 years older than her!

She also was part of the U14 Czech Team for the Winter Cup team competition these last weeks. :D

She's now playing Open Super 12 Auray (more or less the U12 equivalent to Les Petits As), and needless to say it'll be a huge disappointment if she doesn't win it... She's off to a god start there: dismantled Emma Jouy 0 & 1 in R1 today! :yeah:

Last year, she won 2 singles titles out of the 3 finals she played: G12 Mouratoglou Cup in France (beating Sarah Mueller, 6-4 2-6 6-3 in the final), and Cat. 2 G14 Milten Cup in Milovice (beating Alina Granwehr, 7-6(4) 6-1 in the final) :yeah: - the final she lost was the first she played, at G12 TC Euroregion Nisa in Hradek Nad Nisou: she lost 7-6(2) 4-6 2-6 to Linda Noskova, who she had previously lost to in SF of G12 Moser Cup in Rakovnik a month before (4 & 4). However Linda N. is 6 months older, but she's one to watch as well for sure! ;)
Her W-L record for 2016 is: 20-4. :worship:

Keep going Linda! :D :cheer:

Edit: She has a young sister, Linda (born April 2, 2007), who looks at least equally promising! :bolt: :inlove: :cheer:

Re: Linda Fruhvirtová

She thrashed Mboko 1 & 3 in R3 today  :yeah:

She'll face Celine Naef from Switzerland (who's dropped only 3 games in 3 matches so far ) in QF :armed:

:p I'm not an expert by any mean, by I haven't seen a Czech juniors whose results have been overshadowing all the other girls' results since Maky, and I like what I saw when I watched her a bit on Les Petits As stream :awww: :cheer:

Re: Linda Fruhvirtová

QF match has just started and is streaming live on YT, if anyone is interested: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pIJ-PhX-Zso :bounce:

Linda's just dropped the first game to 15 on serve :smash:
Re: Linda Fruhvirtová

6-3 :yeah: :cheer:

Looks like she's too solid for Naef! :)
Re: Linda Fruhvirtová

She thrashed the Swiss 3 & 0  :yeah: She's just too good! :D

She'll face Sofia Costoulas from Belgium in SF, pojd! :armed: :cheer:

There are already 2 Czech girls in SFs, could even get to 3 (Karolína Kozáková has won her QF match, Lucie Havlíčková will play hers soon)
Re: Linda Fruhvirtová

Full QF match:

Re: Linda Fruhvirtová

Lucie won her match as well! :yippee: :D

Actually, Linda is through to the dubs semis with her (Dream Pair :hearts:), match should start soon :cheer:
Re: Linda Fruhvirtová

They didn't broadcast the doubles semis :ras:

Linda & Lucie beat Japanese twins WCs Mushika², 0-6 6-2 [11-9] :scared: :SNE:

They'll face British pair Ogunwale/Shaw in the final, come one! :armed: :cheer:
Re: Linda Fruhvirtová

Lindik beat Costoulas 4 & 4 to reach the final! :yippee: :D :hi5:

Sofia is good too, she dealt well with Linda's strong balls. :)

Linda will face (WC)Karolína Kozáková in a 100% Czech final (was hoping for a final against Lucie though :tears) :bounce: :cheer:

Re: Linda Fruhvirtová

Linda won both titles: she & Lucie dismantled the Brit girls 1 & 0 yesterday, and she beat Kaja 6-2 7-5 today in the singles final! :bigclap: :inlove:

She coped with the expectations like a both this week :hi5:

Re: Linda Fruhvirtová

Linda had entered next week's Cat. 1 G14 TIM Essonne, but she withdrew from it 2 days ago... too bad, the field was weaker than at Les Petits As but it's still a very strong tournament so I would have loved to see how she'd done there :( :[
Re: Linda Fruhvirtová

Yes, she has younger sister and she plays tennis very well. :wavey: You should follow her too. ;) She is playing U12 Neride Cup this week.

Little Brenda had bye in R1. In R2 she defeated Nikol Apostolova 6-0 6-0. :D In R3 she will face Japan player Yu Kikawa. :cheer:

Re: Linda Fruhvirtová

In R3 Little Brenda faced Yu Kikawa and wins 6-0 6-0, again! :scared: It's too easy for her.
Re: Linda Fruhvirtová

Little Brenda won Neride Cup 2017 without dropping a set. :hi5:

In QF she beat Irina Balus 6-1 6-4. Irina played Winter Cup for Slovakia this year. In SF she defeated Nikola Bartunkova 6-3 6-1. One of the best Czech U12 players had no answer. :) In the final she beat another talented 2006 girl, Sara Bejlek 6-1 6-2. :worship:

I'm pretty sure she will win many more tournaments. She will dominate juniors (with her sister) in a few years :)

I already knew Linda was impressive, well above her peers, but Brenda is arguably even more impressive. There is so much talent in the Czech Republic!
