2 years ago she was red hot, now shes nowhere to be seen! she always plays her best in oz (winning gold coast, 3set loss to venus in oz open), so do you think she can make it back?? one things for sure - she's got the talent.

The signs are fairly encouraging, but it depends on what you mean by back?

Wasn't she hovering around the Top 20/30 around '99, and with a pretty good doubles ranking too? Wasn't she also coached by Mark Petchy at one time?

Anyway, here's hoping she has a good 2002. She's still a young player. <img src="smile.gif" border="0">

Silvija struggled with a lot of injuries in 2001, which accounts for a lot of why her ranking dropped. The good news is that during the fall and late summer she has been building more match wins, and gaining more confidence, and I think that's a really good sign to her getting back up into the top 50. She's definetly capable of it, so as long as she stays fit then I don't see why she wouldn't be able to come back to the level she was at in 1999.
