No, I don't think you should retire. You will do very well on carpet, once you play there, because you have one of the highest carpet totals out of anybody. However, what I would reccomend is changing your points every week, rather than just giving four sets of points (one on each surface) and leaving it at that. Changing it up can result in winning more matches.
No, you did extremely well in FED Cup and if it wasn't for all your efforts, you wouldn't be in the QF's
She nearly beat #4 seed, in a very close match. She will improve, but maybe if you tried sending in different points each week, you will probably win more matches
