Well, Shino lost Still, a good week I think, though she will have a slight drop in the rankings, but another strong win, against Petrova of course. Looks like Shinobu is coming into form right when she needs it. Lets hope she has a favourable draw at Wimby, as I think she is going to be just outside the seeds!

Shino opens up against Lisa Raymond It's a tough tough match, especially on the grass but I still think Shinobu has a great chance, esp after RG and Birmingham.

Shinobu and Ai are looking a better doubles team now. They are playing tohether in the Olympics, but they lost 1st tround in San Diego and LA; however they're doing much better in Montreal this week. They're in the semis after destroying Likhovtseva/ Zvonareva 6-2, 6-1 maybe they can challenge for an olympic medal, just maybe?

It was a very close match. She went down an early break, Eleni up 5-3 had a set point I think. She was really close in the 2nd set having many points for 5-4 but got a little nervous. Then she raced to 5-0, had a match point, but got really nervous and Eleni won 3 quick games. In the last game Eleni had two points for 5-4 but Shin went for her shots more, the entire match, and she deserved to win. She looked ecstatic at the end!

Ive been a big fan of hers since Memphis 2002 when I saw her in qualies..I do think I was the only one cheering for her through the whole tournament besides her coach ...
