Well, Shinobu will finally make the Top 50 after the rankings come out next week.

What annoys me is that she won't be playing any tourneys until the Japan Open. She should be playing Bali & Shanghai.

I just realised that Shinobu has not entered any events apart from the Japan Open.

I don't know what strategy is behind that...

Congrats Shinobu.

Just think how much higher she could be if she played more tourneys. It's very frustrating to know that she's played just 16 events compared to the 22 of Akiko & Saori this year...

A career high of 39 is fantastic.

I like her too. She's alot of fun to watch and
it's nice to see how she wins the crowds over
whenever she plays.

It's confirmed.

Shinobu will play only 2 more events this season: Tokyo & Pattaya.

I really hope she does well and finishes the year where she currently is...

Only 2!! Well at least they are winnable. Hopefully she and nana will play doubles.

Last year Shinobu and Nana Miyagi won the Japan doubles open.

Actually, 4th. Not that it makes a real difference.

The seedings should be:
1) Ai Sugiyama
2) Tamarine Tanasugarn
3) Katarina Srebotnik
4) Shinobu Asagoe

How come she doesn't play many tournaments?

She doesn't like to travel like Kimiko??
She spend more time with the company team? (NEC)
She just doesn't feel like playing so many like Dokic?
or she just trains hard and hard and wait for the right time to beat top players??

I wish I could see her playing more and doing well too.
