who do you think is the best play at of Japan. I think Ai sugiyama is the best i dont think is really that big headed when she goes out there a play matches like when is was playing Amile i didnt think she would get any games off her but did.

And she still 6,3 6,4
I do to....Shinobu's been playing well but Ai is the most talented and experienced. Ai was beating Mauresmo 6-3, 5-1 two years ago in Philly and wasted a few match points in an marathon match so I knew Ai had the ability to beat Mauresmo....Ai simply didn't play well but that happens... Maybe you should go to Ai's threads to wite this though...k?
Anyone know Shino's schedule and what she's been up to lately?
saw some pics and comments on her site...

she's been relaxing and doing some tv/radio jobs lately.
ex hopman how do you translate shinobu's site into english? I can't understand a thing!
I can't wait to see Shinobu as the Aus Open! Shinobu is just the coolest person! My bro was lucky enough to get her towell! i'm so pissed
I speak Japanese as well. :p

She's been training already. I am not sure if she has any exhibitions in Japan this winter or not... She will train hard again...and I am sure she can do something big next year again! :)

Yeah, anyone got any news on Shinobu's schedule? I know she is playing Auckland. She prob play Hobart, Aus Open and Pan Pacific (she played then lst year so I'm guessing she will play again)
I'll definitely make it a priority to head off to the Aussie Open this January. And I'll be sure to bring along a digi camera so I can take a couple of Shino pics as well :)

Btw guys, do any of you have an idea of which part of Shino's game needs some major tweaking? I haven't seen her play yet (if we don't count the "hot shots" and replays seen on TV), but it looks like her forehand's the weakest part of her game.

Her forehand is actually pretty solid...but her groundstrokes are. But her FH is the one that makes more UEs...her second serve can sometimes be short. She's got such a solid game, maybe just adding some more pace. It would be great if you could report back with photos and such!

It'll be more difficult for me to get to the AO next year, since I'm now working from Monday to Friday. Hopefully Shino can go deep into the draw so I can catch her on the weekends :)
