I've always followed her results but especially this year after I was lucky enough to see her live at Wimby beat Dani and Schiavone. I was so impressed and am now a big fan!

I met her at BMH shes nice, but doesnt speak english that well. I support her evr since.

She actually hits the ball very hard, I mean I watched her play Bovina, and she was out hitting her, I was amazed. On my computer game shes a right pune.

Shinobu's been my favourite asian tennis player ever since kimiko and naoko left the scene. i mean, she seems a lot more committed to appearing at asian tourny's than sugiyama, so, i like the way she (in a way), plays a part in promoting the sport in the region

Well I thinks thats more to do with the fact that Ai is ranked higher, and Shino has been srugling with her ranking for a few years, but she seems to be back on track now, I would like to see her breach the top 50before the end of this year. Unfortunatly she has got a bad first round draw at the Open, in Maleeva who I saw beat Shino at the final of BMH.

Maleeva isn't unbeatable, though.

NO Shino started to get back at her in the second. But she had trouble on the kick serve, and topspin forehand from Maggie.

Great win. Now she plays Garbin, who has had a pretty awful year.
Shinobu is playing dubs with Miyagi here. They're a pretty good team.

They won their 1st round match 6-4, 6-4 over Boogert/Dominikovic. Shino/Miyagi are the 14th seeds.
