I thought her mother was her coach. She really don't have a terribly pretty game, but the "ugliest" shot she has is her serve. (Not as bad as Aniko's maybe) She is not tossing the ball high enough at all. It's purely an arm serve with little pace. I do not understand why she ranked at 9. She is very lucky the rest of her game is solid. I haven't seen the famous Dewonder, but I wouldn't be shocked if her serve is better.

It would appear that her mother has more say that her coach. (Wasn't she caught coaching at the Open this year?)

but he was there, i'm sure it was him.

lasti heard was Sergey runs a club in Moscow thats why he dont travel.

Elena's mother is more of a confidente than a coach.

I saw Alyona training in her club with Pashkov. While she is in Moscow he is her coach. But her mom is alwais around sitting and watching.

Knowing a serve needs fixing and actually fixing it are two different things. We all wonder how Richard Williams can help Serena get a real powerful and effective second serve while Venus' goes begging.

Pashkov never seems to be able to come on tour with Elena.

dava, it's only a rumour about Elena's shoulder being injured. If Elena had an injured shoulder she wouldn't have just played her sixth tournament in a row.
