A summary of the match from a poster on a different board who saw the match.

Summary: Monica looked very very good. Her groundstrokes were "on". She was using every inch of the court. Returns were so sharp. With the exception of 2 games, her serve was fantastic. She looks so much fitter. She may not move like Venus on the court (well, who does?) but she was moving well and running down balls she wouldn't have got to before. All in all, a very impressive preformance.

I'm happy for Monica. I'm thrilled to know that she is playing some incredible tennis even after a month off (?). However, what is up with Anna? She's more than capable of pushing a top player to three sets or at least a tiebreak. Anna's also more relaxed in exhos because there is no pressure on her. It seems in this match that she completely let Monica dominate her. That's not good news for next year when Anna is going to have to face top twenty players early on in most tournaments. Can anyone tell us how Anna looked (tenniswise) out there?

Again, congrats to Monica. Disappointed in Anna. She can definantly play much better this she obviously displayed tonight. <img src="graemlins/sad.gif" border="0" alt="[Sad]" />
