*Antwerp replaces Luxembourg
*Gold Coast replaces Antwerp
*Warsaw replaces Amelia Island
*Filderstat replaces Philadelphia
*San Diego replaces Dubai
*Dublin replaces Miami
*Miami replaces San Diego
*Dubai replaces Modena

All of the events are the same though. Monica Seles has won the last 2 Antwerp titles, so she is two-time defending champ at the Gold Coast event.

You will get to change them, when I bring up the "Season 8: Players & Surfaces" thread.

No one can switch players though, unless you want to. But you cant steal another player.

For example, I cant post that I am Daniela Hantuchova, because Danny is. If Danny switches players, then Hantuchova would be open. (I am just using Dani as an example)

"two-time Dublin champion" doesn't have the same effect as "two-time Miami champion" :(

but "Dubai champion" sounds better than "Modena champion" :woohoo: :aparty:

Mark, Olympics points come off in S8 not in S9. When we did the rankings during the first Olympics, Monica's gold medal points from S5 came off after RG in S6. It only makes sense if you look at the rankings system logically. It's a rolling system and your best results from the last 52 weeks (the last season) are accounted for in your ranking. As each week passes, one set of points is added and the points from exactly one season ago are removed. It wouldn't make sense to carry on Olympics points for two entire seasons.

Think about it. If we held the points over two seasons, why didn't anybody's points from S5 Athens Olympics come off this year before Antananarivo. Olympics and RG points come off together before Birmingham.

Olympics points come off the next season. It's how it's always been on WGTA. No one keeps rankings points for an event over two seasons. That would make no sense. Why do you think no one had any points come off during the Olympics this season?
