Well their head-to-head is now tied at 5-5.
It was nice to see Patty win in straight against Elena. Its been like almost 2 years since she has been able to do that.
I really dont know why Patty hasnt played well here. The surface isnt incredibly fast compared to most of the indoor surfaces.

Patty's not really in Lena's league though in terms of highs and lows. Patty of the last couple of years is more of a consistent-type performer. She's very opportunistic.

It was great to watch Patty playing like that! It's such "clever" tennis!

Go Patty. I'd like to see her win this tournament. I think she should have won more tournaments than she has already! She really deserves it and if she plays the way she played today, then she hopefully could win more!
