another great comeback from patty (or choke from dani, depending on how you look at it)

patty dominated until 6-4, 4-4 when she had bps against dani's serves, did not convert and then dani broke to love to win the set. in the 3rd dani broke early and led 5-2 with 1 break before patty came back to level at 5-5. The set went to a tie-break were patty burst out to a 6-1 lead before eventually winning it 7-3.

as a patty fan i am viewing it is a her second great comeback of the week. an eagerly anticipated match (for me) against clijsters (most likely) awaits, and expect patty to race into the semis toppling clijsters 6-1, 6-7(10), 6-0 :) ;)

Everybody better get out of the way now! It looks like Patty is going on one of her trademark hot streaks. And speaking of streaks Patty has now won 5 consecutive 7-6 in the 3rd matches

down and down goes Dani. Thank God she was lucky to at least win a title or her career would be looking eerily similar to Anna´s!

i see no similarities to anna's career.
Both made ONE big splash early in their careers....then they started to focus on things other than tennis and that was it. Only difference is that at least Dani was lucky enough to win a title.

daniela began the year ranked #9. she's currently #13. hardly anything like anna's crash landing from #8 in early 2001.

hantuchova has too much talent not to turn it around. she will be back, and she'll achieve a lot more singles success than kournikova ever did. actually, she already has.

She achieved more already, huh?! I´m telling you Dani was lucky she was at the right tournament, at the right time! If she had to face a Serena or a Venus at IW last year, she would still be waiting for her first career title.

Down from 9 to 13 already and she has BEACOUP points to defend at Filderstadt, Linz, etc....so she will be falling even further, if she doesn´t turn it around quickly! She´s been more on mag covers and stuff this year, than that she´s been doing much on the court lately! I´m telling you Anna in the making.

Dani is too talented to not turn it around, you say huh?! Well so they said about Anna too and by the time she had a Wimbledon semi...more than Dani´s ever done at the slams...look at where she is now!
