Disgusting. Why not tattoo a Z to her forehead?

It's not the Russian flag. She can wear something in her native language.

The only unfortunate thing she did was the choice of the team but no one is perfect so we'll let this slip by.

Wouldn't this be more like an American wearing a Yankees t-shirt rather than wearing a MAGA hat?

In Tijuana. During mass-murdering invasion of Mexico. But yeah :D

Well, the Potapova match thread vs the allegedly "bland and boring" Pegula got 100% more comments than WTA pin-up Gauff vs "people's champ" Noskova match thread so even TF has their priorities :lol2:

This one is probably going to be locked or moved to the "Russia invades Ukraine" thread as well.

I hate her for a reason.

Thank you again, Jess, for sending this obnoxious hack back to Irkutsk already! May she stay there forever.

I should be safe wearing a top with a kiwifruit picture right? Don't think we are in any sanctions yet.
People here are really insane. Do they honestly believe she wanted to make a statement about the war, when all she has said so far "keep politics out of sports?"

She just likes the team, has been supporting them for many years and attended matches long before any war. There isn't more to this story.

What's next, ban every American that was wearing a US sports team jersey while they invaded the Middle East? Or should we ban anyone that was wearing a Lakers or Chicago Bulls shirt during the time the US invaded?

People here need to learn to focus on the tennis and not on the color of a shirt someone is wearing during the entrance. GET A LIFE. And keep politics and negativity FAR OUT of this WTA1000 tourney.

And here I was silently hoping she would proudly come out wearing a "Puck Futin" t-shirt. What's so difficult about that? And would have turned me into a huge fan (provided her whole behaviour was consistent in this regard).

I think she knew that since the russian flag is forbidden, she'll be a smart-ass and wear the most popular Russian football team's jerseys and people will find an excuse just like you do.

Also to add to this Nastia has been wearing the spartak shirt in practice for quite a while, and no one ever said a thing about it.

This will only get progressively worse as long as this war goes on. Until the boiling point is reached.
