I can't figure out whether she's into Michael Moore, or she said that to get fired, she sounds like she's on drugs in this interview.

The Aladdin sucks anyway, people with real dough stay at Belagio or MGM. Floyd and I used to go Vegas, but that was a long time ago and we stayed at Caesar's in the executive suite because I am, after all, a movie star.

I was asked to entertain in all the top Vegas casinos, but I didn't think it went with my screen image, and now I'm too old. If they had built me a big house like Celine Dion, I would have done it though, I mean, a buck's a buck.

It sounded like the casino had a riot on its hands, a quarter of the audience leaves before the song's over? That's awful, Vegas audiences will listen to anything and are half-drunk anyway.

freedom of speech is one thing, pr...but if you're in vegas paying money to be entertained without the baggage of political viewpoints being involved...you should get what you pay for.

They were listening to Linda Ronstadt!!!!! What did they expect to get in the way of entertainment? I doubt seriously that they went to the ticket office and said, "I would like a ticket for high-pitched, crap please." Exactly what were they trying to get in the first place?

hey to each his own, right? isn't that what "freedom" is all about? some people love ronstadt songs...others love jerry brown politics! who is to say what tweaks the next guys' balls, hm?

Seems like a huge fuss over nothing - stomping around ripping down posters, etc. becaues she dedicated a song to somone. Whatever. I don't buy for one minute though that they were offended by the fact that she was "preaching" rather than by WHAT she was preaching. People only really object to entertainers voicing opinions when they disagree with them (true of the left as well as the right).

Totally agree people are out to have fun and enjoy themselves if they wanted a night of politics they wouldnt be going to a concert. Celebrities really need to wake up

It's a very strange article that I can't make sense of. Maybe she has a contract, but only has to appear once a year? Was it one night and they pre-paid her and for some reason, she didn't want to sing the whole show and wanted to get fired mid-show? Why bother.
