Faith is something Serena fans have in abundance. Only the trolls and fairweathers show ignorance to that.
Hubby’s sister in law is a nurse. Nothing to see with Yetunde.I think the news yesterday definitely affected her. She said she had a lot on her mind, and that picture of Olympia with the aunty nurse shot confirms it, in my mind. Hope she can pull through this with the family <img src="https://www.tennisforum.com/images/smilies/sad.gif" border="0" alt="" title="Sad" class="inlineimg" />
Alexis's sister Amy is a nurse. Edit: Wiki notes that Yetunde was also a nurse. I apologize because I wasn't aware, I thought she was a personal assistant to Vee & Ree only.
My guy friend told me that she looked "weird" in the presser too, and to not bother watching it. He also feels that there was definitely something on her mind more than just the match last night. Rhe held serve--her 1st and only successful service game once--then she & her whole game went completely off the rails after that. Ree visually made some faces, but in between points there was NOTHING, just her sitting on the bench. She didn't try to change anything. Yeah, her movement got exposed and will continue to be until she has a firm grip on her health/and more match play under her belt. The rust is leaving, but it'll take a bit more time with that because her body is STILL in recovery, although as far as I know she appears to be nearing the back end of recovery, barring any other injury etc. Yes, as one gets older, these types of matches DO appear, and we know that Ree's an older player.
The most bizarre was her double in wimbledon 2014. She couldn’t hit the ball, couldn’t serve, like someone who took 20 lessons of tennis in his life.
And we know it was not a «*virus*» like she said. I never saw that, it was unreal.
A big mystery. I would like to know what happened, it was so shocking.
I watched her press conference yesterday, she didn’t seem sad, depressed or angry.
She even smiled.
Maybe she didn’t want to play this tournament and had 0 motivation.
I don’t have to be nice, sorry.
:help: :facepalm:I don’t have to be nice, sorry.
I just told my worse memory of her on a court.
I see hysteric fans here and there, I’m
not part of them. I’m rude but honest.
I like Serena, BUT she’s not a saint.
I don’t need to pray her GOAT everyday.
I defend her when I talk to people who don’t like her, and I tend to talk differently when I talk to her fans.
