the H2H between these two players is tied at 1-1
Yan struck the first blow by ushering Chakvetadze out of Sydney 2006
but then Anna revenged the loss during Wimbledon 2006 1R

I have a feeling Zi might pull this one out... She played really well against Mauresmo in Berlin and Anna got injured in Warsaw and got bumped out in Berlin early.

Anna's section opened up with Nicole out. She can go all the way to #6 with a big run here and Paris

If Anna is ok to go she will brush aside Yan with little trouble.

yes only an informed tennis fan would use that kind of logic to compare players :tape:

Yan's current rank: 199
Peer's current rank: 16

Yan's highest rank: 72
Peer's highest rank: 15
