Back to back QFs in Madrid and Rome again which is decent... but it looks like Miranda can't win a Premier 5 or above clay title.

Still have to find a very good strategy for Roland Garros.

Miranda Frost battles into Rome final

In Rome Miranda Frost confirmed her great form of the past weeks. After winning the title of Stutgart and reaching the final of Rabat, she is moving into her third clay final of season 2019. The 23 year old Swede is once again one of the faves for the title at the upcoming Roland Garros.

"I consider Roland Garros the Grand Slam where I have the most chances to finally win my maiden major title. I am among the best clay court players at the moment and the surface specialists like Vittoria, Regla or Giusa are on the verge of calling it quits. All depends on the draw of course and I hope that for once I won't run into Bianka Harlow or Anastasia Nemayeva in the later rounds."

Miranda Frost had to dig deep in Rome in order to reach this final. In the first round she barely survived against Islewood with 7:6(3) in the third set, the match against Abdiakova was the easiest one sticking out with a 6:4 6:4 scoreline. In the quarterfinals Miranda Frost barely got past Campbell with 7:6(7) 7:5 before surviving the tiebreak thriller against Mikhailova with 6:7(2) 7:6(2) 7:6(2).

"It was a lot of hard work for me here in Rome and I am very happy to be in the final. I really love this tournament with its statues around the court. I still remember winning a match as a 16 year old junior against Sabine Graf. The road to the final reminds me of my Miami run this season, staying concentrated in close tiebreaks with Fortuna kissing my sweaty body."

In the final Miranda Frost will meet Jennifer Casanova in a rematch of recent Stuttgart final. The Swede could save the Porsche keys. Can she run away in the eternal city and sink her purchaser in the river of the Tiber James Bond like?

"Oh there has been some jealous vibes coming from Jen lately. It certainly has to do with her having to look in the red lights of my brandnew Porsche 911... which could been hers."
