Only caught this from 3-5 in the first set but TT dug her heels in and played such a smart match. Wore her younger opponent down with her heavy spin and played some great defense at times too.
Timofeeva actually has a nice game, she could be quite good in a few years with some experience.
Hope Taylor gets a good spot in the draw as she can def do some damage.

I was a little bit worried after Taylor let the 2-0 lead go to a 2-4 and 3-5 but from then on she got better and better. She‘s not quite in Rome or Florence shape yet but it‘s great that she‘s winning those matches constantly right now.

Timofeeva served for the first set at 5*-4 then was leading 40-0 at 6-5* to take it to a tie-break.
And had at least 5 BPs to break back in the 2nd set at 1-3* down.
These youngsters can't hold pressure.
