I was thinking the same thing… like she always plays top 100 level tennis in slam qualies so why can’t she do it anywhere else lol.

She's won 3 W60 already and has a few more very good result in ITF tournaments. She has no result in the WTA tour because she's never received a WC (and yes, she should've qualified in Rome, but she isn't in great form ATM).

wait, Hruncakova is Kuzmova’s married name?? I’ve been seeing thet name in draws and wondering where this girl came from.

DF on setpoint/matchpoint is story of Hruncakova/Kuzmovas career.

yes she married her coach and took his surname

Glad Sara qualified. She is good, veeery good. I like her, but I like every Czech player so... there is no other way than liking her.

BTW, that loss against Bektas was 48 hours after Sara won the Ceska Lipa W60 on clay.

Surely she’s high enough to at least get into qualies…..

Good for her but let's be real - she doesn't (and won't) have game to make big splash in slams/big tourneys. She is tricky, can annoy some players but that's it, Bejlek is basically lightweight version of Vondrousova.


Decent tourney for Kuzmova. i could be wrong but she still chance to play in main draw as lucky loser, still her downfall is quite sad from solid top70 to itf scrub who sometimes shows some promise but also sometimes loses to players like Kozyreva or Erjavec.

She played qualies twice: let's not talk about Austin, she should've qualified in Rome, but this month she isn't playing well. This match and the QR1 were both very poor.
