Sorry Xhaka, always tough to lose early in a slam. Good luck in the grass season

The seeded player wins a match and it's the biggest upset of the tournament. Sure :cautious:
100 vs 110,5 points :cautious:

Results - Day 04
Roland Garros - R16 Singles Top Half / R16 Doubles Top Half

Court Phillipe Chatrier

Day session - 12h00 PM

(9) Sienna Campbell (AUS) def. (5) Fleri Hingisafrilia (AUS)
6-7(4) 7-6(3) 12-10
An amazing battle to start the day!
Our Swiatek keeps winning at Paris with her 7th win in a row here as she overcomes the former number 1, Hingisafrilia. It was only her second win against the opponent in nine attempts

followed by

Ragna-Anniken Bjarnsdottir (SWE) def. (1) Bianka Harlow (GER)
5-7 7-5 16-14
Ragna scores her first top 10 win in her first Grand Slam tournament . It was a slick performance from the Swedish, who played with contained aggression to keep her nose in front throughout and landed 58 winners to 43 unforced errors. Bianka's number 1 position is in danger now.

This result means that the only top 8 seed remaining in the top quarter of the draw is the No.8 Jennifer Casanova, who'll be playing the next match
👀

followed by

(8) Jennifer Casanova (USA) def. (12) Maria Abdiakova (UZB)
6-3 0-6 6-4
Roland Garros has been a site of remarkable consistency for the American. Casanova has now reached quarterfinals on nine of her last 13 appearances here, and turned in an impressive performance to triumph in a high-quality encounter.

Night session - 19h00 PM

Maria Abdiakova/Magdalena Malygina (UZB/EST) def. (1) Miranda Frost/Vittoria Perez (SWE/ESP)
7-5 4-6 13-11
Malygina gets her revenge 🤐🥳

Court Suzanne Lenglen

Day session - 14h00 PM

(14) Shaitan Reinga (NZL) def. Giuseppina Benedetti (ITA)
6-2 0-6 6-4
Benedetti declared she could win this match even injured and it was true for one set. Reinga is back to a slam QF!

followed by

(6) Sienna Campbell/Kathleen Pryde-Degman (AUS/SGP) def. Oksana Mikhailova/Zivka Zabokrecina (RUS/SRB)
6-7(2) 7-6(5) 11-9
Many matches decided in long third sets today. Sienna in the winning side once again.

followed by

Ragna-Anniken Bjarnsdottir/Yanina Ma (SWE/HKG) def. (7) Isidora Islewood/Shaitan Reinga (NZL/NZL)
7-5 7-6(2)
It's been a terrible year for the kiwis and the best slam ever for Ragna

followed by

Fleri Hingisafrilia/Xhakalinda Saikikimbondwe (AUS/SWE) def. (4) Marteena Huubere/Anete Karklina (AUS/LAT)
6-7(6) 7-6(6) 14-12
Epic!

Dragged. It was an obvious tank in second set. Finally a good Slam result for Shaitan. QF flop inevitable now.

Oh.
For some reason, I thought I was facing Marteena
Turns out that is in doubles 🙈
Xhaka's prep is top notch once again. 🙈
R1 exit looming..
That stupid 6:7(6) second set loss from lazy Xhaka will cost me a decent run too. Many thanks! 🙈

I can't at how bad the tour has become. Miranda could become number 1 without a single Grand Slam QF in her ranking. :ROFLMAO:
