===================

August 18 - WEST PALM BEACH, FL - Octagon senior vice president, Schmelme Goode, announced that their premier client, Russian athlete and pinup girl, Anna Kournikova, has hired the fiesty father of tennis champions Venus and Serena Williams, Richard Williams, to work on a short term training progam of four to six months, following her recovery from her back injury.

"Mr. Williams has trained two of the greatest tennis players of all time, so we are sure that he can make some positive improvements to what is left of Ms. Kournikova's game," Goode told the media that was assembled at the Octagon office in Palm Beach.

In a phone interview Kournikova stated that, "If he can teach his daughters well enough to win 10 slams, then he should be able to do something for my ass,"

"If I can teach a three year old to play tennis, I can certainly get blondie to learn to get her game together," Williams, who was also at the conference, told the assembled reporters.

"Well, even if the Rooskie is too knuckleheaded to learn from a master tennis teacher like me, then I will have at least gotten enough money out of her diamond studed butt to buy myself a new 40 foot cabin cruiser," Williams said with a very broad grin.

Despite some misgivings at the strange matchup, many believe that Williams could be the person to finally get Kournikova's game out of the tennis toilet.

Wow, this is a great move for anna.
I hope that she makes the most of Richard's training because it is going to cost a lot. :)

It was neither clever nor amusing, but given how low people's expectations are of your posts, the reaction won't be all that bad.

It was funny to me, and I am not easily amused.

He is not trashing Kournikova!! I have laughed at plenty of jokes about Venus and Serena, as long as they are funny and in good taste. Fried beans made a joke about Serena's US Open attire being a wheelchair, and I laughed at it because it was a harmless funny joke, and I could tell he didn't do it out of dislike for Serena.

BallB/Knizzle - It is always good to see some intelligent posters with a sense of humor. :)

Again, they have neither/nor. Quite on the contrary, if they found this thread amusing, it shows a lack of intelligence and a very underdeveloped sense of humor, which is completely unsuprising, given the players they support.

We have no intelligence, but yet you pick your favorite players based on whether they are "cuties" or not. It's obvious you have posted on this board before, so what was your username before??

Cuties is just a term of affection, and as I scroll over the names of my favorites, they are a good looking group, but let's face it, there are one or two who are far from cute.

And if I had a previous user-name, my shining intelligence, bubbling personality, and distinctive writing stlye would quickly reveal it.

Once again, the old bord rule, if you really don't like the thread, don't post in it.

That rule, however, may be a little to cerebral for some to comprehend.

You should listen to your own words, if you don't like Jen don't constantly post threads and stuff about her.

How does saying that Richard will train Kournikova is an insult to her. She should only be so lucky to be trained by the supreme master and genius of tennis that is Richard Williams.

Anna mite actually look good when Richard buffs her up.

Malin - Reading comprehension is definitely not one of your strong points I see.
If you don't like a thread - Don't post in it, dummy. :p

If you want to post about a player - start your own thread. :p :)
