Looks as if Kim is still trailing Venus by 178 points! So if she doesn't beat cappy, she will defintely have to win Rome inorder to get number 2. And if she does beat Cappy, she may still have to get to like the semis or Finals to keep the number 2 rank. Either way it goes, its coming down to the wire. What im surprised about is Capster and Mauresmo. I thought for sure Amelie would be keeping her ranking a lil more solidy ahead of Jennifer. But for now it looks as if the only "challenges" we will be seeing is 2 and 3 and 6 and 7, cuz everyone else is pretty secure till after the French Open!

Anyone know how many points Kim will get if she beats Jennifer? Vice-versa?

I think 8-9 looks pretty interesting!!! Rubin and Hantuchova are pretty close and neither is in good form at the minute!!

I think the 3 and 4 spot is interesting as well..the two Belgian's are battling it out.. imho Justine in my mind is being underestimated a bit. She could win the next grandslam out of anyone in the top ten who hasn't won one.

Venus has 4508 points by:

US Open =732
Ao= 702
Wimbledon= 618
French Open= 616
San Diego = 389
Antwerp = 327
LA= 296
New Haven = 296
Stanford = 291
Warsaw = 183
Miami = 57
Moscow = 1

Which shows it is an interesting decison by her to skip Stanford, knowing she's defending champ there and at San Diego and New Haven to.
