RAINER has the chance to get "entry system top 10" next week! how far has he to get in hamburg to achieve that? JIRI and PARADORN are already out, SJENG did not play, RAINER won his first round match today... does anybody know? i'm bad in that ranking-point-thing...

Last year Rainer reached the second round, which means that he is defending 35 points.

On Monday he had 1770 points, which is 31 points behind what Jiri had on Monday.

Last year Jiri reached the third round, which means that was defending 75 points, of which he only got 15.

Thus, as it stands right now:
Jiri: 1801-75+15= 1741
Schuettler: 1770

However, if Nalbandian goes further than him, he'll likely bump him out. Kuerten, Coria, or Grosjean would also bump him out of they made the final or won it, depending on how far he goes.

Somebody might want to check that, but something like that.

thanx! yes, GUGA, NALBANDIAN and a few others could be dangerous for RAINERs possible top 10-rank. but RAINER played well in rome and i'm sure he will beat LARS today and win perhaps one or two matches more. hopefully he gets the top 10. he derserves it after melbourne! :)

CORIA and NALBANDIAN did. so RAINER is still #11, 20 points away from #10. perhaps next monday...
