Aga told at the press conference after mixed doubles that Olympics are not the most important tournament in tennis those are Slams which are the most important tournaments. Olympics are just an addition.

The girl will always tell what she really thinks. :spit: She doesn't even have any kind of respect to Olympic spirit. Now she lost 90% of her fans in Poland that she gained with her Wimbledon final. :haha: Now she's called Antiolympic flag bearer. People say that she can only play for money and when it comes to represent her country she fails as doesn't have $$$ motivation.

The talk with Matkowski (Aga's mixed doubles partner) at the presser after 1st round mixed doubles loss was the legend in terms of respect to Olympics:

"It was the last chance match, we won't have the match for honour" - Matkowski laughing.
"Soon gotten, soon spent" - Aga replying and laughing.
"Wait, maybe there is repechage?" - Matkowski continuing the joke.
"Maybe, we must ask. Maybe they will push as to some event" - Aga replying. :spit:

Aga: Yes, I am! I am coming to village called Canada. GOAT

Average Polish fans of sport are specific. As Slams are not called World Championships, they don't care about them as much as Olympics.

of course she's right. any tennis player who says otherwise is simply a liar.

and that is precisely why no tennis player should be a flag bearer. only in sports where the olympics is the pinnacle of that sport should someone be a flag bearer. in tennis, this simply isn't the case.

Exactly. Slams ARE more important than Olympics, but saying that after being eliminated in R1 and being the flag carrier of your country is just sad and poor. :shrug:
It's just another way to show she doesn't care about anything but money.

Tennis is a weird olympic sport like that. It definitely belongs in the Olympics (summer sport, popular etc.) but it's probably the only Olympic sport where Olympics isn't most important :lol:.

Doubt QV would be saying this if she won a few rounds however .
