1. Actually it was Jorovic, Bogdan and Siegemund the top Alts
2. Bogdan had semis to defend in BOTH Monterrey and Bogotá
3. Because doubles players (ranked or not in singles) have priority over players who were not in the Q list, who just randomly show onsite.

Okay so there is still a very slim chance Laura got in after these two, if three players withdrew between the release of the qualifying draw and the start of today’s matches?
Such a shame. After FINALLY breaking Top100 it is quickly over for her again.
In regards to WCs: I would have thought they had four regular ones. So Codino could have gotten one of those and Voskoboeva the on site one.
Thank you as always. :yeah:
On-site Alternates are prioritized for acceptance as follows:
a) Players who have entered the Tournament by the applicable deadline and appear on the Tournament entry list will be accepted based on the entry list order;
b) after the Qualifying Freeze Deadline players who are not entered but sign-in on site will be accepted based on their most recent WTA Ranking
a and b must be ranked inside top 750
c) WTA full members in order of their current singles ranking who sign-in on site.
c does not have to be ranked inside top 750 and can be unranked.
Everyone else needs a wildcard to enter.
If there are open spots in the draw and no On-site Alternates, the open spots will revert to the Tournament Director as Additional Wild Card spots.
