Saved a MP at 4-5 in the second set. God knows why she was in that hole to start with but a win is a win I guess, and she's getting closer to the top 200.

Really interesting QF against 16yo Wang Xiyu next - surprisingly they've never even met in juniors.

Burnie is turning out a pretty dramatic tournament between Elie's 12-10 TB over Robson, Aiava's triple-tiebreak win over Fourlis and now this

After saving MP's in R1 she loses in R2 wasting one :(
That would have been another great win.
But Jen can be very happy with the way she's playing so far in 2018. If she continues like this she'll be back to where she was in 2016.

I saw it from Kostyuk 3-2 & she had 15-40
She won 1 game will 1-5 in 2nd.

She was getting frustrated with herself. Amount of silly errors she was making.
Elie was playing good.

So glad I turned the stream off

Amazing number of 5-1 up collapses we have seen already this year, only 1 month in.
That's true! I hope these players can take solace in seeing others go through this and moving on.

Though, actually, I thought Gaby Sabatini never did really fully recover from the trauma of her 1993 Roland Garross loss to Mary Joe Fernandez from 61 51 (while tv in the US kept fixating on a straightforward Capriati loss to Graf!)
