Ive some questions about surnames

1.) Why do so many people from Korea are named Kim
2.) Do the chinese names have a meaning
for example how can someone be called Ding Ding
and is Yan Zi´s first name Yan or Zi ?
3.) Once Ive heard that Romana Tedjakusuma´s name has a meaning, other names from Indonesian palyers ??
4.) is the ending -enko- ukrainian
5.) Why do the spaniards always have two surnames? fathers and mothers?
6.) Jayaram Jayalakshmy - thats only her first name or?
7.) Why do 90% of surnames from Madagascar start win a "R"

thanx

and all this time i thought Maria was Russian:)

to answer some of the questions,
yes, Chinese names do have meanings,
Yan is the surname, and Zi is the first name,
usually Chinese put surname first followed by first name
unlike foreign names:) so we just say Yan Zi in China,
but if you can call her by her first name too,
so you can say Zi like you say Kim,
Yan is a kinda of tree, not sure about Zi tho,
coz many characters in Chinese sound like Zi, so dont know
how Zi should be tranlated into Chinese character,

Ding-Ding and names that have repeate words arent unusual or anything
you can see names like that quite often in Chinese,
