Oh yes, go Kyung-Mi Chang!!!

Bad luck Thassha, but I'm very impressed with her performance. Taking a set of Abramovic was a great effort. We'll hear more of her in the future.

All European opposition must be defeated in the next rd!

BTW Jiro, do you also have the men's results?

Thanks for the posting Jiro. Could you see the matches? It is a draw for the Thai players : 3 victories and 3 defeats.

Danker, I agree with you, except for Caiazzo. I am French, after all . The poor girl was ranked around 1,172 on November 1st. Let's hope she can still play some matches before heading back to France.

She is better in Thailand than in France where it is presently freezing .

Steveg : Hotel and Accommodation

Main draw players participating in the ATP Challenger event will be provided accommodation by the Lawn Tennis Association of Thailand (LTAT) according to the regulations governing the ATP Challenger event. Participants of the ITF Women's circuit will have to pay for their accommodation. All participants will stay at Maxx Hotel located i central of Bangkok. It takes about 25 minutes by car. The tournament arrange shuttle microbus service from the hotel to the tournament site every day.

There are 1 center court with 5000 audience deats and 6 courts for the matches and also 4 practicing coutrs.

The tournament is take place at Muong Thong Thani Tennis Complex, Nonthaburi. This Tennis Complex have used to host The Asian Game 4 years ago. They are going to promote and up-grade this tournament to be bigger than this year.

Yes I watched many matches today. I will post some report later please wait . From now I am going to post some pic.

Jiro,

Thanks for all the information.

It looks like a huge complex. Funny how some ITF tourneys in Asia have better facilities than tier II tournaments in the States.

I hope this one will turn into a WTA tourney soon.

Just like Pattaya went from $10,000 to $110,000 in a few years period only.

Today is a good day for France (except I lost my tennis match ).

Congratulations to Caiazzo. Never heard of her before but I'll look for some information on her.

And Stéphanie will play early next week.

Qualify Draws and Result :

Wongkamalasai(THA) d 1-Tameishi(JPN) 6-3 Ret

7-Zachariadou(GRE) d Arevalo(PHI) 6-0,6-2

Two questions:

1) What has Tameishi done to get the #1 seed in Qualifying? I've got records for the $25K Challengers and up this year, and don't see a single win for her. Indeed, she's got 17.5 points from her best 17 events, having played 31 events!

2) Note that Arevalo is Czarina Mae Arevalo, not to be confused with Melisa Arevalo.
