Kuzmova did not enter the MD after all. Giorgi probably did not withdraw after all ??

Hope it is not too early for Konjuh. She has not been in training very long. For example Friedsam who has been back in training longer has still not entered any WTA tournament (only played league matches and the German championship)

Hard draw for Konjuh, hope she will have a good come back without any injuries.

Not bad for a qualies draw. 2 former top 10 players (one of them being a former finalist here) & welcome back Konjuh.

Hope Katie can give us Brits something to cheer for, she certainly has a winnable first round match although surprised Pera has entered here as it’s not often lower ranked Americans play in Moscow or St Petersburg...

Just adding to Zarycká that she was already born in Prague, so the change of flag was natural process not something out of the blue. She just played her first slam qualies this AO (lost to Trevisan), that was her first pro tennis trip out of Europe, she is otherwise strictly european ITF tour player with few attempts to qualify for nearby WTA Internationals (Prague, Nürnberg). Curerent Czech no.14, with Allertová dropping her AO 2018 points, No.13 next update.
