2003-02-17 Dubai Hardcourt F Justine Henin-Hardenne (BEL) 4-6 7-6(4) 7-5

Monica in fact leads in H2H,
even though Monica struggled against Barna in 1R,
but she recoveres quite well beating Natalie 1, 2
while Justine had a free pass as Clarisa withdrew,
will the now hailed best clay/grass specialist, Justine,
who beat Serena last week prevail,
or will Monica, 3 time clay Slam Champ find a way
to beat Jusitne?
one thing can be sure, that this is gonna be a great matchup

I don't see Henin losing this. At the moment she is probably #1 claycourter in the world. Seles is just unlucky to draw Henin that early in the tournament.

If Justine is tired or wants to rest -- which I fully support -- I will allow her to lose this match.

Justine shouldn't lose this match under her best circumstances. Any other time, a loss to Seles would infuriate me...but if she lets this match go, meh.

I'll think Monica as a back-to-back-to-back French Open Champion as the better clay court player.

It could be tight,... but I see the leftie in two.

I think this is just going to be a fantastic battle - never mind the head to heads - look at the tennis they play - complete opposites and with both playing very well it could be an incredible battle like their last one not so long ago. There is one guarantee - Whoever wins this wins the tournament.

Justine will probably lose the 1st set and then cruised through the next 2 sets and take the match!! Coz' I believe Monica will come out and give it all in the 1st set, but then she won't be able to maintain a high fitness level to battle the next two sets!!

Sorry Monica!! I hope to see u win actually!! ;)

ppfffff Justine just defeated the world #1, previously undefeated this year, on this same surface...and people still under-estimate her
