Olga was Belarussian from Belarus it is pretty crazy there she proably did that to get assistance fromthe Russian tennus federation or her father who is an attorney proably got a job there. Not sure about the father though.

When the USSR split she probably decided to stay in Belarus but was ethnically Russian and decided to change..its not that uncommon..Tatarkova switched to UKR and Likhovtseva to RUS..
