I am watching the CBS recap right now, and Patrick McEnroe mentioned that the organizers at USTA are talking about moving this week's matches to next week because of the ominous weather forecast.

I live in NYC, and it did not stop raining yesterday and today. The forecast is for more of the same on Wednesday and Thursday. It warms up to the mid 70's on Thursday, but still more rain.

He also said that matches are postponed indefinitely, maybe they are seriously considering the move to next week. The sked is not out yet, and even last night, the updated sked was out by this time already.

Probably better this way to eliminate all this uncertainty.

Some players will make history by making it to the thirrd week of a Grand Slam tournament. That will be a magnificient achievement.

At the moment schedulers have women's 4th round/QF for Thursday, SF for Friday and Final for Satruday. Seeing as Thursday will probably be washed out too then I think the women will finish on Sunday. The men, therefore, will need to finish on Monday/Tuesday.

If hurricane fabian hits on Friday as some say it will, then all these matches will be pushed over. God knows what will happen then.

Why on earth did the USTA get rid of the 12 indoor practice courts for bloody corporate sponsership crap???????? If they still had those the players could practice and if the weather gets worse, use them to play on.
