Serena would have probably twice at least had she ever played IW since the incident which ''Shall not be named!'

What a cute photo of Monica, as for now we really should be talking about Monica being the only woman in the open era to win three consecutive Roland Garros Titles, I think Justine can do it this year, but it will be diffcult.

Serena almost did it in 1999 (the year she won the USO), she lost to Venus in a 3 set final.
She reached the quarters of Miami in 2001, and after that, only played Miami (4 titles 2002-2004, 2007)

I started a thread about how players that reach both finals, winning at least one, go on to win the US Open that year:

Steffi 1994
Lindsay 1998
Serena 1999
Kim 2005
Maria 2006

What a coincidence eh?

Also, Martina reached the IW final and won Miami in 2000, but lost the US Open semis to Venus.

So Steffi isn't the sole exception to the rule.
