Good stat. She’s also one of the fittest ones out there.

I wonder if she knows- big mental edge there too I would assume.

the sudden revival (starting at FO '017) of Martic's career from complete nobody to where she is today, should be a bigger story... although in her 2 biggest matches of 2019, Petra lost in straight sets to Vondrouskova and Williams, and those losses kept her from getting a GS breakthrough.

The one with Penko was crazy

Petra has really gutsed out some wins this year, it's got to be good for her confidence. It's been great to see her starting to fulfill her talent after all the injuries she's had. Her coaching set up is really working well for her and she seems to be keeping healthy for the most part. She's always been incredibly talented but getting mind and body on side has taken a while. I really hope she can continue progressing.

Zidansek twice...

Well her opponents mostly weren't top players, they were very beatable matches for her.

the sabalenka match that petra won on friday was in my opinion one of the matches of the year, so many winners by both, a brilliantly played match.

Well, its still impressive.
And its not like she did not have some more impressive wins:
Sevastova 64 63, Mladenovic 61 62 and 60 63, Pliskova 63 63, Muguruza 75 76, Bencic 63 64, Zhang 61 62, Vondrousova 64 76 etc.

Please explain what do these 2-set wins have to do with the thread about her 3-set wins?

To show that you can struggle against what you called beatable players even when you are in good form. So to win 15 times in a row when going to a decider is higly impressive and its not like she is just barely collecting wins against some scrubs.
She is actually following it up with good wins.
