From now on tournaments will be added to the list on a Month to Month basis.
Please take into consideration the following rule before you commit. You need to:
- have at least 100 posts
- be a member on tennisforum.com for at least 2 months
All entries will close at 09:00 pm CET on the day before the main draw of the tournament starts (so usually Monday)
Schedule for June 2009:
June 8
#425 Birmingham (Int)
June 15
#426 Eastbourne (Prem - 275)
#427 s-Hertogenbosch (Int) - already begins on June 14
June 22
#428 Wimbledon (GS - 1000)
Cut-Off System:
Gland Slams - unlimited players
Premier Mandatory - 128 players
Premier 5 - 96 players
Premier - 80 players
International - 64 players
I would again like to stress that you make sure you will be able to play in whichever tournament you want to play, because if you don't play somebody else who didn't make the cut could have played instead of you. So please be sensible! Thank you very much, and have fun.
As most of you know, the managers of PAW have called for a decrease in the workload for individual tournaments.
The best way for us to accomplish this is to implement cut-offs based on the PAW Entry Ranking. We will do our best to accommodate all players wishing to play, either by adding WCs to tournaments, or by adding an ITF tournament if the demand is high enough
It is a given that we will never be able to please everyone, and maybe some of you don't like playing lower-tiered tournaments, but I think it's most important to please the managers in this case. They are the most important aspect of this game, because running PAW with 100+ players is just an incredibly time-consuming task. So please, have some understanding for our situation.
