Should we reward Bonus Points for the US Open series?

In 2010 US Open Series made its PAW debut.
However, I don't recall there was much debate about it - twight6 just went ahead and did it.
A major difference between the actual USO series and its PAW version is that in real life there is bonus money at USO for the series winner, but no bonus ranking points, which I think is more relevant in our case.

Current system, if accepted, gives bonus ranking points for the three PAW players with the most points accumulated.

Should there be such a ranking bonus for these hard court season tournaments?

Whatever the results may be (the poll closes next Saturday and it's pretty close), one thing is for sure: unlike this poll, which was made in haste a day before the (real-life) USO series started, next year there should be one earlier, so that more players will vote.
Preferably with a link on PAW Wimbledon OP, and even mandatory voting if a player wants his Wimbledon result counting towards the rankings (in that case, also a 3rd option for people who don't mind one way or the other).

i agree with earlier voting (wimbledon) but not counting Wimbledon results for the rankings (if they don't vote) is one step too far...

It seems that people don't really care about the US Open Series if they don't vote for it (some will be lazy of course :p)...

and the voting is 50-50 , so for the people who do care , half of them is against it...

So it seems this will be the end of the bonus points (for now)

Some are lazy, most of the casual players are simply unaware.
Of course I never meant any retroactive action. If the Wimbledon 2013 tournament (or any other major regarding any other important poll) has a clear message in the OP that players are required to vote in order to be ranked there, they are duly expected to dedicate 30 seconds of their time to make a difference. Not too harsh.

i refuse to suspend(cause yes, that's what it is , not counting the result for the ranking) players for not voting. :)
