As SVK said almost all the games were close and Monica had to fight and dig deep throughout. Good to see Monica stay strong mentally all the way through and this was a good win for her.

Next match won't be easy but Monica plays well indoors and this is a better surface for her to play Errani than the AO was. And if she plays Mauresmo instead, that could be a fun match too and yeah Monica can win that as well.

Niculescu is a player i've been watching with interest for some time now. Such an unconventional style, and her feel is phenomonal. The imagination she has on her shots is bizarre but amazing to watch- when it al goes in of course:lol:
