Forget about One Slam or One Win Wonders.

I want to know the random runs at tournaments.

I'll start:

Akgul Amanmuradova making it to the Tashkent final as a wildcard.

In 1988 Germany's Sabine Auer won six-stragiht matches including qualifying to get to the Miami round of 16 where she lost to Barbara Potter in that round.

She beat an up and coming Amy Frazier and by then veteran Hana Mandlikova along the way.

But outside some consistent Challenger and Satellite results and a round of 16 showing at a WTA event in Norway, she never matched her one moment of glory in another event.

Aniko Kapros, making it to the final of Tokyo Princess Cup 2003 almost beating 16year old Sharapova, leading 5:2 in the decisive Tie-break in the third set.
