Thats cool, I've been down like that before similarily, but it was more like 6-1, 5-3, I came back to win 1-6, 7-6(9), 7-5. The guy who I faced was furious, he doesn't talk to me to much anymore.

I was once up 6-3 5-2, having two match points and lost 3-6 7-6(7-4) 6-3.

OMG, Kim came over today and we decided to play some tennis...we were wagering 1 mil (chump change but Kim wouldn't bet anymore...cheap ass...considering how much she makes)...Anyway, I was down 0-6 0-5 (0-40)...I dugg deep and pulled it out....:bounce:

And do you know her daddy had the nerve to question my improved fitness...

J/K....Congrats...:D

Good for you... I played a match once that I lost and was up 6-0 4-0. I just got tired and couldn't play like I was at the beginning. I ended up losing 7-6 (4) in the third set tiebreak. I was VERY mad at myself. I never played against that person again.... :fiery:

i was playing against todd reid (who won junior wimbledon) at white city (not in a tournament) and he was up 6-3, 4-0, and then i started moon-balling him and as he always does went nuts and tried to do the same to me. i got it back on serve, but then for some reason i started playing the same as i did when he was smashing me and i ended up losing the tie-break 7-4. i didn't really care though because i never was as focused on tennis as he is.

this was like when we 16 btw so i'm not trying show i'm good enough to be a pro. i think i'd lose to a women ranked 1000 in the world now.

that's awful. you must have been pissed! i was playing for my school once and i was up 5-1 (15-30) with my opponent serving and i broke my string. i went to get my spare and to my horror it was also broken! i ended up having to use our no.1s racket which was strung at like 10000 kg and i went down 5-6 (15-40), somehow served 2 aces, got into a tie-break and lost 6-8. thankfully i won the next two sets 6-3, 6-2 or something.

I played a tennis match today. I was losing 6-4 5-1, and was down match point. I ended up winning 4-6 7-5 6-4! :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: I'm so happy right now!

That's the story of my life, except 9 out of 10 times I'm the player with huge lead that just can't close it out. I hit the ball harder than everyone I play with, my serve is pretty reliable (not that quick though- very bad footwork) and it never fails- I'm such a mental case on that damn court. I've lost a lead after being up 5-0 and 30-love, I was serving. Needless to say I lost the match 5-7.

Congrats!!! That's great!!! :bounce:

You need so much mental strength to pull that off...because you know what?! When I'm down like that...I'm so down on myself that I just give up. You're an inspiration to me.

That's a QUEEN VEE COMEBACK you just accomplished!! DAYUM!!! :worship: :worship:

:hearts: Thank you! That's very kind of you to say. I use to be terrible for getting down on myself. I've just learned to keep going, no matter what. At 5-1, I kept telling myself "Make this respectable", and suddenly it was a set all.

Isn't that great?! It reminded me of Venus' comeback at AI last year. In the post match interview, she was saying something like she just wanted to make it look respectable because she didn't want to be bagelled or breadsticked. And she she just said, OK, another game, another game. And suddenly...she was walking off that court with the winner trophy!!! :worship:

Great job! Now you've got this as inspiration for the back of your mind. When you're down, you'll know that you've got what it takes to pull yourself back up. And THAT is very powerful!!! :D
