Re: OFFICIAL Retirements 2019.

as usual, the wta site is very insightful.

WTA will rarely update the site. Not a good indicator since they really only recognize top players when they leave

Too soon to call it a career for Bouchard?

Apparently taking time off. Rarely posts about tennis on her gram. Beginning of the end?

Julia Boserup

As injury brings my tennis career to a close, I am excited to share the beginning of my next chapter. This September, I will be starting graduate school at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. The nerd inside of me is jumping for joy 🤓 and I’m excited for what’s ahead. Thank you to everyone who played a role in my journey through tennis, and helped make my dreams a reality. The memories are forever in my heart ❤

List updated with Sadikovic's retirement.

I will add Laine to the list after Fed Cup.

Has Parra Santonja actually retired then or is she still playing?

she's retiring in Madrid.

maybe in a few minutes

edit: she has :awww: ending her career on a DF - having a little ceremony on court right now

:wavey: Arantxa

Sad for both Julia and Arantxa, especially for Boserup since she's still so young, not even 28  I feel both should've achieved more in singles, at least a WTA title, although Parra had a very fine doubles career.

Aww Boserup. Always had a soft spot for her for no apparent reason and always looked out for her results. I'm glad she at least made it into the top 100 before she left it behind.
