As for Russian and Belarusian players, I do agree showing support in private would have been very feasible, and wouldn't have been endangering them.

It doesn't mean nearly every player would be pro-Putin, though. I'd guess even some non-supporters could have felt uneasy about it and prefer to avoid any contact.
I do think however that many just don't really care and don't mind - quite similarly to a lot of people in other countries, including a lot of leaders in IOC and sports organizations.

As for Sabalenka, she's been supporting Lukashenko already in the past (though I'm not sure whether she did it because it was easier, or to avoid having issues, or because she really believed it). I don't see her changing attitude... yet still not 100% sure what's behind.

To take historical examples, Wilhelm Furtwängler and Richard Strauss weren't nazi supporters. They were even rather opponents (now that documents can be used). Yet they stayed, were used by the regime, and received strong criticism for that.

You can see on the girls' wta profiles that if one of them appeared in the nf breakpoint series, she also has such a badge. A moderately important curiosity, but still ;d You can also click on the netflix icon and read the articles with the girls who appeared there on the wta website.

Dupa Stollar. Just
Translation of her country should be "kochanie" though. :D
What don't you like about this translation? The algorithm recognizes Ms Stollar as an appealing lady, which is spot-on, as all regulars to the photo thread know. An excellent algorithm! The epithet used is a bit colloquial, but such is to-day's Polish.
Instructive is also Biustonosz as the name of Hadad Maia's country. Now we know that five FIFA world cups have actually been won by South American brassières. A new case for women's football.
