I thought it ws odd that the highly ranked players Dementieva, Rubin and Pirece would play in a smaller tournie in Bali and then not in Shanghai.Bali is such a long way from the states, so I could undertsand it as a lead in tounrie but it does seem a long way for 1 event.
Also, surprised Pistolesi won't defend her title.

On another note, does anyone have the commitmenst for Japan or Leipzig yet?
