Most of you know I was a big Hingis fan, but the thing is... I was and we all were

Isn't it about time we stopped holding on to the faint hope that she may come back and just all buggered off to the Blast from the Past forum?

Martina's a legend no doubt but... she's retired now and she's out the rankings. Come on people, you're delusional if you think she is going to come back.

It's time for this forum to go.

No offence, but i couldn't disagree with you more.

To me, this forum isn't just about Martina, I don't see it as us hanging around hoping she'll one day come back. I know that most likely won't happen, as much as I wish it would. But to me the Marti Party forum is where a group of friends can hang out and have fun (talking about crap mostly ) Those who have posted in here have had so many fun times together, and even though Martina isn't playing anymore, we'd like to keep that going. I admit, this forum has had minimum activity in the past month but to see this place go would be a loss i feel.

Onto the subject of Martina herself, although she isn't playing she's still honouring her sponsorship commitments and those of us here like to keep up to date with that in here, rather than in General Messages where there is more hositility. And even though she isn't playing i wouldn't say i was a fan of hers, i say i still am a fan.

Again, no offence, but its not your decision whether this forum stays or goes. As yet, the admins of this forum have no plans to move this, and ultimately it is their decision, and obviously they're happy enough for it to stay, at least for the time being.

If you don't have any further interest in Martina or this forum, then thats fine, but don't come in here saying it should go just because she isn't playing. The people posting in here regularly aren't just fans, but we're also friends and we'd like to keep the place we're we've had so much fun over the last couple of years.

This forum isn't hurting anybody. And even though I haven't been posting much lately I still had a quick look if I get new infos. And I'm with MS this place is not only about Martina but to keep in contact with your fellow internet mates having (had) the same fave for quite a while.

I wouldn't mind if the forum was moved, but i'm not sure that would happen, i don't think Blast From The Past is split into forums, i think its just threads, in which case we wouldn't be able to create threads like we have now
