I didn't notice anyone else posting on this so I thought I would do so. It seems that she has had the surgery on the roof of her mouth to remove the cancer and is now cancer free. But unfortunately she still has to be fed via a tube 'for the foreseeable future' so there is no way she can play Wimbledon qualies. Poor thing, best luck for her recovery!

I think that was the consensus of the posters when it was mentioned originally that she was going to have the surgery and she intended to be back for Wimbledon qualies.
