Key Biscayne, Florida (March 24): A truly international group of players gathered to help promote women's empowerment and equality through the Sony Ericsson WTA Tour's partnership with UNESCO, the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization. Modeling the shirts to make a statement about women's empowerment (L-R) were Liezel Huber of the USA, Akiko Morigami of Japan, Patty Schnyder of Switzerland, Nicole Pratt of Australia and Nathalie Dechy of France. Venus Williams was named the first UNESCO Global 'Promoter of Gender Equality' in 2006. This t-shirt was created through Venus' EleVen clothing line and part of the sales profits benefit UNESCO.
