Naomi looks very promising. She is 15 (born 16 October 1997) and already has a CHR of 792.

Her results lately have been up and down, but shes beaten the likes of Bencic, Evtimova, Zacarias, Erika Sema, Pandzic

This year also played 2 players that've been/are in the top 100 Puig and Mayr-Achleitner and lost to them with competitive scorelines 64 64 and 64 63.

This week shes having a great tournament in 25k El Paso. She reached the Semis from Qualies.
QR1: bye
QR2: Kazakova 60 61
QFR: Mitchell 61 63
R1: Zacarias 64 26 64
R2: E.Sema 63 36 63
QF: Pandzic 60 61

Very impressed that she smashed Pandzic like that!
In the semis she faces off against Chieh-Yu Hsu.
Naomi hasn't even played junior tournaments yet.

Mari Osaka who is the older sister also hasn't played any junior tournaments. She has a CHR of 865 and lost to Hsu this week who Naomi will be out to get revenge.

She has reached a singles final 10k last year beating Naomi on the way.

GL to both girls :cheer:

And now she destroyed Hsu in semis 2 & 3

No one doesn't have any info on Osaka girls? From what I have found on youtube, Naomi is one to watch !

Interesting, she is 15 just like Ana Konjuh, they are very near in rankings and they both are in 25K final tomorrow :D

It's always nice to see young players making progress :bounce:
