Hi. I did a question and answer session with Heather Watson last week. I've written an article about her and published it on my blog with the question and answers, have a look.

Womens British tennis is looking up after years in the international wilderness. There is a long way to go before Britain can get into the elite group, but in Heather Watson, we have a player who has the desire and talent to make a real impression on the WTA tour for years to come.

I love your tennis blog, Laurie! Very thoughtful analysis, and of course I happen to agree with all your tastes and preferences.

Thanks for that.

For as long as I'v been watching tennis, I don't recall ever seeing a British player winning a WTA event. It will be good if Heather Watson can put herself into contention to win, and win WTA events over the coming years; that would really be progress for British tennis. And Laura Robson as well.

Not to be too nit picky but the last player to reach 3rd roudn at wimbledo was Baltacha in 2002

I really love the layout and style of your blog, congratulations on doing something and maintaining something that you enjoy :) Loved the article, you analysed Hev's strenghts and weaknesses perfectly, i really do hope she studies Justine and comes up with a decent sliced second serve

Keep at it :yeah:
